Financial Benchmarking and Forecasting

CHCA recently announced its new strategic business partnership with Strategic Resource Network, Inc. (SRN), the developer of Planning and Performance Manager (PPM), a healthcare (business) intelligence program, an Electronic Business Record (EBR) specifically for community health centers. The program validates and integrates data from all "legacy" system to provide: performance and productivity management, forecasting and budgeting, profitability and cost accounting, grants management and other compliance-related reporting including UDS.

Health centers using PPM have significantly enhanced their operating and financial management effectiveness in several ways:

Dramatically reduced the time and labor requirements associated with both 330 grant and operating budget development
Integrated RVU-based provider productivity and compensation programs,
Significantly improved data quality impacting reporting, billing and operational management.
Identified optimal practices for replication across sites and departments
Facilitated managed care and other contractual program analysis to support strategic and tactical analysis and negotiation

SRN will be working closely with CHCA in the months ahead to integrate into its new PPM Enterprise release, key data elements from the electronic health record. Web-based repositories of healthcare intelligence/knowledge management resources and a user network for knowledge sharing and performance benchmarking will augment PPM Enterprise.
