Jerry Williamson, MD, FAAP, LHRM
A board certified physician with more than 35 years in healthcare, Dr. Williamson is currently the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Medical Informatics for CHS Healthcare, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Collier County. He has broad experience in healthcare management, including:
- Managed care initiatives;
- Compliance and Risk Management;
- PHO development;
- MSO development;
- Physician recruitment/retention;
- Care mapping; and
- Strategic planning.
Dr. Williamson is currently a national speaker on HIPAA / Healthcare Risk Management and Coding Compliance. In addition, he has served as co-chair of Community Health Center Alliance's Clinical Committee, guiding the development of the network's EHR system, since 2004. He also serves as Clinician Champion for Meaningful Use on behalf of the Center for the Advancement of Health IT (AHIT), and is integral to helping providers throughout the 41-county service area understand and achieve the goals and objectives promulgated through the CMS Final Rule on Meaningful Use.
