Angela Strain, Organizational Advancement Director
Angela serves as Organizational Advancement Director for CHCA and AHIT. She is responsible for managing AHIT’s Outreach & Education Team, including the program’s practice advisors, and is charged with maintaining the Meaningful Use knowledge base. She serves on the Florida HIT Workforce Advisory Board. Angela is also responsible for providing members with grant research and writing assistance and grants management, convening CHCA’s Clinical Committee and facilitating Clinical Quality Measure Reporting, directing Federal and State legislative affairs, developing EHR needs assessments and clinical/business requirements, strategic/business planning with the CEO and Board, and assessing external agency reporting/data collection requirements.
She is certified by the Grant Professionals Certification Institute™ and led the team responsible for garnering the Regional Extension Center cooperative agreement. Prior to assisting CHCA in multiple successful federal proposals (HRSA's High Impact EHR Implementation, HIT Innovations, and Health Information Exchange Planning grant programs), Angela worked with community health centers in her home state of Tennessee and other community based organizations. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis.
