CHCA Board of Directors Member and Treasurer, Walter "Mickey" Presha
Mr. Presha joined Manatee County Rural Health Services in 1984. His leadership has overseen tremendous growth of the organization, including the achievement of Joint Commission Accreditation and the inclusion of numerous specialties, including obstetrics and podiatry. His vision has also brought additional health center locations to serve special populations, such as school-based clinics and the Michael Bach Center, an HIV/AIDS clinic with one of the best reputations in Florida. In December 2007, Mr. Presha was presented the Keeper of the Flame Award at the World AIDS Day Breakfast sponsored by more than a dozen local organizations that deliver prevention and treatment services. He was also honored in 2007 with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Manatee County Branch of the NAACP.
